RANDOM ACTS OF RUBBER BANDS

rubberband-3

I slid 3 rubber bands off a bunch of scallions and was totally amazed. First I thought, “Mickey Mouse”. Then my mind started wandering… and I had to take a picture. Eventually I remembered that I was supposed to be fixing dinner so I continued to prepare the rest of the scallions.

But when I slid 2 more rubber bands off the remaining bunch I started to think they had escaped from the new East Building of the National Gallery of Art.  Life is exciting! Enjoy your day!

CURIOUS GEORGE, THE CATERPILLAR

Curious George, the yellow striped army worm caterpillar, was crossing the road yesterday afternoon. I put my knife next to him so you could see his size in the photograph.

Normally caterpillars pay no attention to my knife.  But not George.

He decided to examine it. First he checked under the blade.

Then he climbed on top of the smooth, warm knife.

He actually hung out on it for a bit before continuing across the road. My walking friend and I wondered if he liked the smooth surface more than the jagged road. I tried to identify him on Google. Seemed like it ought to have been simple… My awesome neighbor, Robyn, found it!  It is the yellow striped army worm caterpillar!
