Waterlines
Waterlines are magical and so soothing. Breathe.
Tinkerbell and her gang have arrived!
At first I thought it was a new constellation reflected in the river. But the constant twinkling motion made me realize it had to be Tinkerbell and her gang!
Ospreys at work in early morning light-
Up before sunrise, this osprey pair is busy constructing nest in a new location… on the eagle mating tree at the mouth of Pomonkey Creek where it enters the Potomac River. Not sure the osprey have selected a good location for a nest. But we have a good view of the site so we will continue to observe their progress.
Father Osprey is building his fortress!
No tiny, soft nest for him! He builds a fortress against Great Horned Owls, Great Blue Herons, Black Vultures, Turkey Vultures and other deadly osprey chick hunters!
Just imagine the equivalency for you of the weight and size of the stick he is carrying!
